BruManch Pertandingan Lagu-Lagu Dakwah 2012

BruManch will be hosting Pertandingan Lagu-Lagu Dakwah 2012 for the second time in collaboration with BSUnion. The event is in conjunction with the 28th National Day of Brunei Darussalam.

The competition is open to all Bruneian Societies registered under the Union and Bruneians currently residing in the UK and EIRE.

Venue         :   Friends Meeting House, Central Manchester

BruManch Society hopes for participations from Brunei Students Societies across UK and EIRE as this a great opportunity to showcase talent while fostering bonds between students and invigorate patriotic spirits.

If you would like to be part of the audience instead, you are welcome to come with no booking fee required. However, seating reservations will be required as seats are limited and will be open for bookings on Thursday, 8th March 2012.

BruKent Sembahyang Hajat & Motivational Talk 2012

BruKent Society would like to invite all BruKent Members to attend Sembahyang Hajat & Motivational Talk, given by our Special Guest from Brunei Students Unit, Ustaz Haji Sammali bin Haji Adam [ Religious Officer ]. The event will also be attended by Tuan AL-Aseer Hj Md Yussof [ Financial Attache ]

The aim of this event is to help students to be more motivated to study and prepare them for their upcoming exams.

University of Kent Worldfest International Showcase 2012

Assalamualaikum,

CONGRATULATIONS 

TO

BruKent Society

for winning First Place in the BEST CULTURAL PERFORMANCE award category in the Worldfest International Showcase 2012. 

This has been the THIRD time in a row for the BruKent Society to bag an award for this competition.

In addition, the BruKent Society finished in Second Place for the BEST OVERALL PERFORMANCE in the competition after a nerve-wrecking close call against the Irish Society.

The society performed a play from the history of Brunei Darussalam called "Lela Menchanai", thus, showcasing Traditional Dance and Silat Performances.

The performance is in conjunction with the 28th National Day of Brunei Darussalam. The performers showed their patriotism by ending the performance with the slogan of this year's national day

"Negaraku Brunei Darussalam"

The BruKent Society would also like to Congratulate all the other societies who participated in this prestigious event for their enjoyable performances and winning an award in the other categories.

Assalamualaikum,

Brunei Darussalam celebrates its 28th National Day on the 23rd February 2012 / 01 Rabi Al-Akhir 1433H.

BruKent Society would like to wish every Bruneians in the UK and back home in Brunei a "Happy 28th National Day". May Allah bless our beloved country with prosperity and always be peaceful under the reign of our beloved monarch Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
