Getting to Canterbury
Canterbury is not too far from London as your journey can range from one to two hours depending on which method of transportation you have chosen. There are various modes of transportation you can take such as:
1.Share a taxi from Brunei Hall with other students from University of
Kent

It is
important that you use a trusted taxi! Brunei Hall will be providing a list
of taxi drivers but please check with the receptionist if they are available.
We
also have our trusted taxi drivers who have been picking up Brunei Kent
students for the past few years.

2.Use the train
|
When
you use the train from London, it is important that you take the train from London St. Pancras International [STP] to
Canterbury West [CBW].
You
will be able to purchase your tickets on the ticket machines at the station
itself. As you do not have a valid Railcard yet, the cost of a single ticket
will be £33.70. The train leaves the station at 42 past
every hour (e.g. 11:42am, 12:42.pm)
The whole
journey from London to Canterbury will be 59 minutes.

3.Use a coach
|
It is
advisable that you purchase your ticket from http://coach.nationalexpress.com in advance if you decide to take the coach from London for a good
price. Prices range from as low as £5.99
to £17 depending on how early you book your ticket and the time of
day.
To
take the coach from London to Canterbury Bus Station (007), you must go to Victoria Coach Station. The duration
of your journey will take an approximate of 1h 55 minutes.

travelling outside of Kent and within UK using trains, we advise you to apply
for a 16 – 25 Railway Card. A 16 -25
Railcard. costs £30 a year
(or £70 for 3 years) and will
